Centaur HSL 12×40 is a bituminous granular activated carbon produced according to the patented technology. It is used to reduce a content of hydrogen sulfide in domestic, commercial and industrial water treatment.

Centaur 12×40 corresponds to the EN12915 standards, possesses the KIWA ATA Certificate and is approved by the UK Drinking Water Inspectorate.

Recommended operational conditions

  • Contact time- 3 min. (minimum)
  • Layer thickness- 700-800 mm
  • Linear filtration rate for iron removal – 6–12 m/h
  • Linear filtration rate for hydrogen sulfide removal – 24 m/h
  • Flush expansion of media – 30–40% of layer thichness

How it works

Centaur is a combination of fine pore structure for enhanced adsorption of trace contaminants and high catalytic activity for their elimination.
